ASA /UKCC Level 1 Certificate
This course was formerly known as ASA Assistant Teacher course. The aim of the course is to develop effective swimming teaching skills leading to the ASA Level 1 Certificate for Teaching Swimming. 100% attendance is required.
The course fees are £249.00 until September 2010 and all courses from September 2010 onwards are £299.00.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old on the 1st of September in the academic year in which they are going to attend the course
- Suitable poolside wear is required including SHOES! Candidates should bring swimming costumes, swimming hat, towel, stopwatch and writing materials.
- Swimming Teaching and Coaching Level 1 (ASA) This book is the recommended text for the ASA Teacher Certificate level 1 course. The content illustrates the level of knowledge required although additional reading obviously benefit the candidate.
